Eggs can be stored in a cool area until you are ready to begin incubating. Once you have established a steady temperature it is time to start gathering your eggs. 99.5 degrees Fahrenheit (37.5 degrees Celsius) is a nice temperature for chicken eggs. You want to run it for about 4 to 6 hours prior to actually placing any eggs in it.
